Jason Sautel Jason Sautel Started his career in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter with RivCo Fire/CDF in 1993. Shortly thereafter he became a paramedic with Alameda County EMS assigned to an ambulance in Oakland CA and ultimately ended up as a firefight er for the Oakland Fire Department. His career was cut short by an injury but instead of fading away into the corporate world, he now spends his time advocating for current and future firefight ers through his platform as a speaker and best - selling author. Eddie Sell Chief Sell began his career in public service over 30 years ago while becoming a volunteer firefighter in Riverside County and serving as an explorer for the Los Angeles Fire Department. He entered in into the US Navy at 17 and served as an Admiral ’ s Chef. Chief Sell went on to work for several Fire Service organi zations including BLM, Cal Fire in several units, the Long Beach Fire Department, and now proudly serves as the Fire Chief/ Agency Director for the Hemet Fire and Life Safety Agency. Chief Sell is honored to have created a new public safety agency that includes the fire department, building and safety, code enforce ment, and fire prevention under one agency. Over his career Chief Sell has held the ranks of firefighter, firefighter/paramedic, engineer, captain, battalion chief, and fire chief. Chief Sell volun teers his time as the president of the California State Firefight ers ’ Association (CSFA), a 100 - year - old trade association that ’ s committed to serving the entire California Fire Service. Chief Sell has led an organizational transformation, created new engaged committees, and has increased collaboration with state and fed eral organizations. Chief Sell also served as a director for the Long Beach Firefighters Association, Local 372. Chief Sell holds a Bachelor ’ s degree in Business Management, is an EMT - P, is a Certified Chief Officer, Company Officer, Incident Management Team Operations Section Chief, holds numerous certifications in All Risk categories, speaks Spanish fluently, and holds a Culinary School Certificate from the US Navy. Chief Sell serves on FIRESCOPE, California Fire Leadership Committee, First Respond er Center for Excellence ’ s Cardiac Committee, Riverside County Fire Chief ’ s Association, and the NVFC. Chief Sell is a small busi ness owner, author, mentor, and entrepreneur. Robert Sherwin Robert Sherwin is a managing partner with Lewis, Marenstein, Wicke, Sherwin & Lee, a firm founded in 1971 that specializes in workers' compensation, personal injury and disability retirement for safety members. Mr. Sherwin is certified as a specialist by the State Bar in workers' compensation with a special emphasis in representing firefighters. He has been voted a California Top Lawyer and Super Lawyer since 2014. He has argued successfully before the California Courts of Appeal on numerous cases in volving statutory interpretation of legislation pertinent to fire fighters and workers' compensation.

Rothrock Ali W. Rothrock is an author, speaker, and educator who has delivered hundreds of presentations nationwide about resilience after trauma and as an advocate for first responder mental health. As a seasoned public speaker, her TedxTalk "Resilience Is An Action of Rebellion" has been viewed thousands of times. Ali draws on her experience as a firefighter / EMT to design and deliver courses that provide audience members with empower ing and tangible takeaways. She is the founder/CEO of On the Job and Off and the Executive Director for First Responders Care, two organizations dedicated to building more resilient first re sponders who take an active role in their communities. Ali is the author of Where Hope Lives (2010) and After Trauma (2022.) Rothrock is a Certified Trauma Responder through the Associa tion of Traumatic Stress Specialists, a Behavioral Health Special ist with the Medical Reserve Corps, and is certified through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. Ali is currently earning her Masters in Trauma, Resilience, and Self - Care Strate gies. She moves often with her husband who is in the Air Force. David Santos David Santos is a 22 - year veteran of the Fire Service. David be gan his career with Cal Fire in 2001, where he served for three years in the San Diego Ranger Unit. In 2004 he was hired by the City of Colton where he has worked as a Firefighter, Engineer, and since 2013 has held the rank of Fire Captain. A strong believ er of professional development Captain Santos is a Graduate of California Baptist University master ’ s in organizational leader ship, he also holds a bachelor ’ s degree in public administration from the University of La Verne. Captain Santos is graduate of the National Fire Academy ’ s Managing Officer Program, Training Program Management from the National Fire Academy, and NFIRS Program Manager from the National Fire Academy. He is a certified DISC personality profile trainer through People Keys Professional Development, he is also a self - development and organizational health and development consultant through RightPath. David is also a Credentialed Fire Officer through the Center for Public Safety Excellence, and a California State Fire Marshal Instructor.
